STORY BEHIND THE NAME OF ESL

ESL stands for Eka Sari Lorena which is the name of Lorena group founder's daughter. G. T Soerbakti who founded Lorena Group in 1970 where he started an interstate inters province bus company.

After the management established Lorena bus company, Karina bus company and Lorena chartered bus company, another new division called ESL Express, a courier, overland transport and air freight company servicing throughout Indonesia was established in 1997. At the beginning, management established ESL Express to maximizing Lorena busses, where the packages deposited in the baggage of Lorena and Karina busses.

Starting in year 2000, ESL Express has its own wagon bus which could carry up to seven ton of shipments.

Lorena transportation group has a vision to be an integrated transportation company and serves transportation mode of land, air and sea. With this concept, ESL Express is one step taken by the management to achieve Lorena transport group vision.

The ESL Express continue to grow at the fast pace. By early 2006, ESL Express presents in 126 cities, with 29 branches and 201 agents throughout Indonesia supporting by 250 employees. The company aims to expand the service covering 200 cities and has 400 agents by end of 2006.
